‘El duelo’, de Paula Chesire

    El duelo Paula Cheshire

, “El duelo” is neither more nor less than, it is a graphic novel,Paula Cheshire and originally published in the Spanish language by Fandogamia Editoria published on October 6, 2020 and which we can currently find in various formats. In the year it was published, copies of the impact it had upon its launch were exhausted. Why should you read The Duel?(El duelo )?

Paula lost her mother to cancer. That devastating experience was a burden he had to learn to handle. And one of the things that helped him do that was translating it into comics. In this fragment of life, the author takes us by the hand to accompany her in this grieving process. With a simple and expressive style we see how he faced the different stages of the process: denial, anger, negotiation, depression and acceptance. Through vignettes full of emotion and sensitivity, but also humor and irony, Paula shows us what remains after someone you love is no longer there: memories, feelings, relationships, changes.

Because it is a comic that tells us about death, but also about the celebration of life. Paula manages to open up in a very honest way, exposing her most intimate thoughts and fears within the reader's reach. He is a very honest diary, and this is surely where his success lies. It's a sad story, but it's also life itself, happening before our eyes. It's resilience and it's accepting how the world works.

El duelo is a comic that not only makes us participate in the author's pain, but also invites us to reflect on our own relationship with death and with the loved ones who have left us or who will leave us one day. It is a comic that teaches us that grief is not a linear or uniform process, but that each person experiences it in their own way and at their own pace. It is a comic that shows us that grief is not the end, but the beginning of a new way of understanding and appreciating life.

Supporting the story is the author's excellent drawing. I fell in love with Paula Chesire from the first time I saw her drawings, and I realized that she is not only an extraordinary illustrator (her friendly style, with traces of manga, is adorable), but a very intelligent storyteller, who knows how to combine the vignettes, how to give space to the silences on the page, how to introduce humor into a topic as intimate as loss... Without a doubt, in my point of view I highly recommend it.

Hobbies.

My hobbies

Hobbies and interests

Hello! I think the time has come to introduce myself and say a little about myself. My name is Ana Valeria M. I am 18 years old and I am in my first year at college. These are some basic things about me, although I believe there are many ways to know about a person, I personally prefer to know what they like to do in their free time, this can help me know their tastes, people make their free moments happy and it allows me to connect more with their way of giving their opinion in a few words, know more about that person and their point of view and the perspective they have! Personally, I consider myself a curious person, therefore I like to learn new things, therefore I have many hobbies that make me feel good and I enjoy, some activities I do are playing the guitar, drawing, baking and the most important thing for me spending time with my family and the youth society of the church, however, today I will talk about the game that has been the most difficult for me to master and that is tennis.

Tennis

Like any other sport, to play and learn from tennis you need discipline and stuciazm to be able to do something well, all sports have good benefits that usually vary depending on the person but they can be how in health and regulating your emotions it can also be a way to relieve worries or stress or simply to entertain and learn something new. Tennis in my life today is something that has marked me a lot and has an important meaning for me since it has influenced me in different aspects. Doing this sport, apart from having better performance and strength and coordination, also helps me to have more confidence in myself, which in reality, if I'm honest, was the reason why I started doing it since some time ago I won't do it much. in details but I came to have problems with self-confidence and communication with people. At that time they recommended that I have activities where I would challenge myself to have control of myself despite and that I can do things without intending to, at the same time Just as it could help me socialize with people who are interested in the same sport, apart from improving that area of my life, it also brought me a lot of physical benefit, although it is also necessary to eat healthier to achieve good results.

With the passage of time, part of me became known and made me see tennis as a sport that resembles life since tennis is a sport of the highest complexity, requiring high levels of coordination, flexibility, strength, resistance and speed. It is its difficulty that many, when they do not see improvements, abandon it and it is that without a doubt the most complex characteristic that tennis requires is mental strength. You must be able to tolerate frustration, deal with your emotions and control your thoughts, insist even though there are no birds. progress that's why I say that tennis is like life because you have to get up again and again with the best disposition to face the next ball hoping that everything goes as planned look for solutions when things don't go as you expect and be measured When things are going well, since in minutes a favorable situation can become adverse, you must trust yourself and not fall into the trap of short-term results. The truly good thing is done waiting and all these characteristics are the same in life and in the day. every day in different circumstances that happen or may happen. Tennis helped me in many things but mainly in myself and seeing things in a different way.

So I strongly recommend to anyone who suffers from other health problems or anxiety problems themselves to sign up for a sport, not necessarily tennis, each person can find meaning in each sport that interests them because in this way, It will always be a hobby that you can enjoy and benefit from in many ways. There are many other reasons why people look to do a sport for daily life but this is my simple experience and all experiences are good.

That's all for today. Thanks for listening and have a wonderful day!
