At the beginning of the month, the Day of the Dead was celebrated in Mexico. A tradition that has been called for years since it has been present since before the Spanish conquest in Mexico and despite that we continue to celebrate it to this day.

Thanks to these traditions I was inspired to talk about this and connect with what I am as a Mexican person.
There are many ways to express how good it feels to be Mexican, no matter where you are.
We may or may not agree with the ideas or projects of the nation, but we are always united by the pride of belonging to this great country. Mexico is a diverse country with a universe of possibilities. We have a vast history, a splendid cultural heritage, traditions that do not fade and a gastronomy that is an intangible heritage of humanity.
We are part of a people who know how to earn their daily bread with dignity, build strong communities and forge alliances. We are a living nation with a generous land for locals and strangers. Inside and outside the country, Mexicans are supportive of those who need help, polite and formal, and above all, we are “luchones” because we do not stop until we get ahead and with the best smile.

When we are outside the country we like to say: There is no food like that of Mexico, the most colorful dance is that of Mexico, the richest drink is in Mexico, there are no landscapes like those of Mexico, the best parties are in Mexico. And we like to carry the Mexican flag if we decide to go to another country and from that moment on, we do not stop talking about family, the humor of the Mexican, and the customs that accompany us.
From the moment we set foot outside, we begin to long for the red or green sauce, the piquín chile, the habanero, the nopales, the enchiladas beans, the toasted chapulines, the birria, the pozole, the tlacoyos, the handmade tortillas and the refried beans.
We also take ranchera songs, Mañanitas for birthdays and even “El mariachi loco” to dance at our parties, because the lyrics and notes of the typical songs identify us and give us enormous joy.

We are the people of José Alfredo Jiménez, Juan Gabriel, Frida Kahlo, Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, Octavio Paz, Cantinflas, Diego Rivera, José Vasconcelos, María Félix, Alfonso Cuarón, Benito Juárez, Lázaro Cárdenas, José Clemente Orozco and David Alfaro Siqueiros, to name just a few.
Thank you very much for reading, God bless you!!!
